As part of National Careers Week, 4th - 9th March 2024, we are introducing you to our Trainee Solicitors. Please meet Lauren.
Lauren joined GWCA in November 2021 and is part of our prestigious Training Contract programme.
Lauren joined GWCA as an assistant in our Probate department in Worthing, whilst studying for her Legal Practice Course (LPC) qualification. Once qualified she applied for the training contact as a trainee solicitor. Lauren is currently four months into the programme at our Arundel office in the Conveyancing Department. She will be moving back to our Worthing office in April to gain experience in our Litigation team.
Lauren is really enjoying working at GWCA and is grateful to now be part of the training contract programme. She has always felt supported and encouraged within the team.
Lauren decided to choose law at university as it was the subject she was most interested in and realised that by being a solicitor, she would be able to help others in what can often be a stressful time in their life. Lauren also liked the idea of fighting for justice and helping people achieve a good result.
In her spare time Lauren loves to indulge in her love of Thai food, especially Kanom Jeeb (steamed dumplings). She is hoping to visit Thailand to have authentic food and (try!) to learn to cook Thai recipes. To help digest the Thai food, Lauren likes going for a long walk with her Labrador and participating in boxing classes.
Lauren is currently based at our Arundel office is gaining experience in our Conveyancing department. She is learning important skills including the need to have strong communication to achieving accuracy and building relationships.
Advice from Lauren: “Be confident in your ability, take time to get to know your colleagues and don’t be afraid to ask questions.”
